Why I Don't Have a Job Anymore

Almost 9 years ago, I got my first job as a junior accountant at the local Treasury Dept. I enjoyed it but only for so long. The salary wasn't enough for what I wanted to do and office politics was getting to me. I wanted something extra to supplement my income so I hunted for other opportunities. After trying to start a taxi service & getting involved in MLM, I found the internet and the easy-to-start affiliate marketing business. This was in 2006. I decided to try to make this work. After getting my first sales commission in less than a week after I started, I was hooked. This was it. I learned more about it and implemented more techniques. The first year was a struggle; even though I was getting sales, I wasn't making enough to supplement my income. This was until, I joined a site called Wealthy Affiliate. Once on Wealthy Affiliate, I quickly learned about the things that were keeping me back. I learned the entire process, the correct way it was supposed to work and then my business took off. By this time, I had already been transferred to another post and I had no interest anymore in working for them. I wanted to go full time, because I was making even more money than the Head of Department was making. One day, I was called before the board for disciplinary action and they seemed to know that something wasn't right. The next day I sent in my resignation. I've been free since March 2009 making six figures from the comfort of my own home. |
